The best blenders for your needs and budget
So you want to buy a blender but are overwhelmed with all the options out there? We feel you! When it comes to blenders, there are a lot of choices available in all price ranges. We’ve rounded up a few of our favourites for you. Happy blending!
Nutribullet 900W ($99.00)
A great blender for on a budget, this blender is small but mighty! It’s ideal for making quick smoothies, baby foods and dips. The NutriBullet is also a lightweight unit that can be stored easily, is easy to assemble and mostly very easy to clean. Keep in mind this blender only blends small amounts, so it’s best for single serving smoothie making.
Nutri Ninja 900W ($77.00)
The Ninja is a great affordable entry level blender option. Similar to the Breville it won’t do a powerhouse job on tough blend ingredients, but it should help you make basic smoothies with ease. A perfect option for those just dabbling with smoothie blending!
Kambrook BlitzGo Active ($29.00)
Not the strongest blender out there but the BiltzGo Active is an excellent blender overall and does a great job of making smoothies. It’s perfect for people on the go as it comes with 2 x 600ml BPA-free Triton plastic bottles with closable drinking caps for on the move.
Breville Kinetix Blender ($249.00)
The Breville Kinetix is an easy to use and convenient blender with multiple pre-programmed settings for blending, liquefying and pureeing amongst others. Although it might not completely pulverise dark leafy greens, or turn your nuts into nut butter, it should do a good job with basic smoothies made from mostly fruit and liquids.
Vitamix S30 Blender ($695)
In the world of blenders, Vitamix is a cult favourite and our choice. A pricey cult favourite but with good reason. If you are willing to make the investment, a Vitamix will truly last you a lifetime. The uber-powerful motor handles blending smoothies, soups, dressings, nut butter and more like no other. Even tough to blend dark greens like kale and frozen spinach which get completely pulverised in a Vitamix. Each Vitamix comes with a handy tamper that allows you to move food around in the blender and push it down while the machine is running.
